Lassi flavors- Cantaloupe, watermelon, mango, peach, avocado and blueberry!  Indian and Indian fusion vegan, gluten free, figure friendly recipes

Lassi is served as a hot weather refreshment drink in India. Traditionally it was a blend of yogurt and water whisked together. It is a probiotic, protein and calcium rich drink that is cooling and easy to digest. Growing up in India I knew of 3 types of lassi-

Khari lassi- a blend of yogurt, water, black salt and a blend of spices that are good for digestion. Check out Indfused’s take on it with the Creamy Avocado Kefir Lassi.

Sweet lassi- a blend of yogurt, water and sugar.

Mango Lassi- Mangoes blended with yogurt and water.

As my interest in fusion cooking grew, I have several kinds of lassi that I love! I have been happy using the traditional yogurt but also using kefir, coconut milk and almond milk with avocados, watermelon, cantaloupes, peaches and blueberries to name a few 🙂

Check out these yummy, healthy drinks that also help me with weight loss as they are filling!

  1. What a colorful and irresistible compilation of all your lassi drinks, Sandhya. In our family, we are only familiar with mango lassi which our adult children still love till today 🙂 I’ll have to get adventurous and try some others. 🙂
