Indian One Pot Meals- An online Cooking Class!

Join us to make Paav Bhaji, Chicken Pullav and Red Onion Chutney!

Cook Along on Saturday, September 24th, 2022, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and have 2 dinners ready for the week!

 Dear friends,

Hope that you are enjoying the summer. As fall approaches, warm, comforting foods help us transition to the cold weather ahead. I am thinking one- pot, make ahead meals with recipes that can easily be doubled too!

This class focuses on two favorite one pot meals. Mumbai Paav Bhaji and Chicken Pullav. The highly requested Red Onion Chutney goes very well with the Chicken Pullav, so we will make that as well!

Mumbai Paav Bhaji– This street food in Mumbai, India, has not lost its popularity in decades! It is a scrumptious medley of mashed vegetables, cooked with aromatics and a spice mix (bhaji) and is eaten with bread (paav). We can make it in the Instant Pot or on the stove top. Instructions for both methods will be included.

Chicken Pullav– Basmati rice cooked with marinated chicken and spices has the flavor of Biryani without all the fuss. This one pot meal can be made in the Instant Pot or on the stove top. We will also discuss versions of this pullav using jackfruit and/or quinoa.

Red Onion Chutney– Popularly served in Indian restaurants with papadums, appetizers and meals.

Cooking instruction from 3 to 5:30 p.m. will be followed by 30 minutes for questions and answers (and tasting our creations. 😀) List of ingredients will be e-mailed before class and with step by step guidance, you will have 2 meals sorted for the week! Cook along or watch the demo and recreate the meals later.

Class fee $80/ person. Register @ the Eventbrite link below or Venmo @Sandhya-Nadkarni-1

With warm regards,
