Check out Indfused’s signature recipes for easy, figure friendly, hearty, scrumptious soups, perfect for the winter season!

A bowl of warm soup on a winter day is so comforting, isn’t it? And for me, it is extra comforting when I know that the delicious soup is figure friendly, filling and nutritious!
That is why I developed these varied recipes for some lip smacking good soups, that are Indfused’s signature soups. The common theme and my secret weapon/ tip for all these soups recipes is that I have used masoor dal/ red lentils.

Masoor dal cooks quickly and adds protein to the soup. You can cook it in water, vegetable broth or low sodium chicken broth. I whisk it after cooking so you don’t see the ‘dal’ as such but it adds a nice smooth texture and body to it and makes for a filling soup.
Here are some favorites-

We have our first snow storm of the season today. Hope that these soups keep you wrapped up in warmth.
Bonus tip-I cook a big batch of masoor dal/ red lentils and freeze them in smaller portions. So I can whip up any soup in a matter of minutes!
Love,
Have a great weekend!

You’re right Sandhya, after that freakish snow storm, I made a couple soups that day. It’s most comforting and yours looks just soothing for the upcoming season. I’ll have to find out how you get all these posts together to form a blog post. Cooking a whole batch of lentils and making smaller portions for the freezer is a grand idea. Will have to do that. Enjoy your weekend, it’s back to sun and a high of 48 deg today, more bearable 🙂

Thanks so much Loretta! We have another cold, raw and rainy day today. Time for soup again 🙂 Will surely tell you about combining posts to form a collective. The post comes in so handy.
What are your plans for Thanksgiving?

Thanks Sandhya. After our freak snowfall last week, we’re back to more seasonable weather, yesterday we hit 50deg 🙂 The family will all be home for Thanksgiving, including the pup and a couple of strays who have no where to go. How about you? Do you cook turkey? As you can see from my Insta posts, I’ve been at it for the past week, my kitchen is a happy place these days 🙂

Thats so nice. Enjoy TG with your family. I was not on insta as much last week but plan to catch up soon. I am sure your kitchen is an extra happy place!
It is snowing here again today and record low temps are predicted for TG day. One of our dear friends hosts TG and the same group has been meeting for over 23 years- so it is always a lot of fun. Our family contribution is the salad, a side dish and pumpkin pies.
Will check out your pics on insta. I can relate to the kitchen being a happy place! Enjoy my dear friend!
