Honey Caramelized Fig Shrikhand- 5 ingredient recipe to celebrate Indfused’s 5th anniversary!

Dear Indfused family,
I am ecstatic that Indfused is now 5 years old! This has been a journey fueled by passion and driven by hard work. But the love, support and encouragement that I have received from you all has made it an enjoyable journey, that is beyond measure! When I started blogging I had not even imagined that I would gain so many amazing friends through blogging!
To me, food is an expression of my love and the recipes on Indfused are the recipes I make for my family. I have always tried to create Indian and Indian fusion recipes that taste amazing but are healthier, made mostly with local ingredients, and are streamlined for today’s busy lifestyle.
I am truly blessed to have received from my Aai (mom) the passion, drive and training in cooking and I try to emulate my Pappa’s flair for writing and relaying anecdotes. I will always carry their unconditional love, support and blessings in my heart.
I am both humbled and gratified to see that Indfused’s friends and followers are of all ages, across more than 152 many countries, making the recipes every day, sending feedback and photos. Please keep the love coming. I love you too ❤
Here are the recipe links from Indfused’s first four anniversary celebrations!

So, on the special occasion of Indfused’s 5th anniversary, let’s celebrate the love with Honey Caramelized Fig Shrikhand, a 5-ingredient recipe!
Honey Caramelized Fig Shrikhand
Ingredients-
- 3 tablespoons honey, divided
- 3 ripe figs, cut in half
- 3 cups plain Greek yogurt
- 4 dried figs, cut into bite size pieces
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground cardamom seed powder
To make the Honey Caramelized Fig Shrikhand-
- Heat a saucepan on medium heat. Turn down heat to low, add 1 tablespoon of the honey and arrange the figs, cut side down on the warm honey. Let the figs caramelize for about 3 to 4 minutes. turn and caramelize the skin side for another minute or so. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Meanwhile, combine the Greek yogurt, 2 remaining tablespoons of the honey, the cut dried figs and the cardamom powder in a bowl. Stir well to combine.
- Divide the yogurt mixture into 6 serving bowls. Top with the caramelized fresh figs. Drizzle the warm caramelized honey from the pan over the figs.
- Serve!
Enjoy!
I sincerely thank you again for your encouragement and support on my blogging journey. I look forward to our friendship growing as we continue to journey together ❤

Thanks Harshada. I will certainly share the video the next time I make it. For now, in the warm pan,on low heat, add the 1 tablespoon of honey, then add the figs, cut side down. The honey will start caramelizing in about 3 to 4 minutes. You will see it thickening too.
Hope this helps.

I can see you have created a healthy dessert that I will love to have. Fresh figs in India are not easily available; probably only in few metro cities at select places.

Growing up in Maharashtra, we used to get fresh figs from farms. they were available only during a particular season.
